G is for...

GIRLS!

I have two of them and I feel so so lucky.  Sometimes I look around at the little boys around me and I just DON'T KNOW what I would do with them.  I would love them of course, but I would also be bewildered and dumb founded by them.
Boys play together and end up doing this...

Boys at play
"You have FIVE trains!"
"No YOU have five trains! I only have FOUR trains!"
"MOOOOOMMMM!"

Girls, on the other hand, are sugar and spice and everything nice.
Girls at play
"Ok girls, now pass the hot potato!"
"giggle giggle giggle"
"Isn't this fun?"

See what I mean???  There is just something about girls that makes me think of this...

Can you imagine what a birthday party with boys involving decorating with icing would look like?  I can assure you it would look NOTHING like this...

No fighting over candy, no pushing, shoving, or smearing icing on one another.  No gobbling the candy before it makes it on the cupcake and then begging for more.  Just calm, orderly, sweet, girls.

Don't get me wrong, boys have their good points.  Strength, the ability to put things together without looking at the instructions...

They also know how to use tools...
But...

Girls will make sure the babies are taken care of.

And that everyone gets their vitamins

And will make a home where there wasn't one

And will color nicely together.

They pay attention and applaud at all the right places.  (See the boy in the background?  Not paying attention OR applauding.* Tsk tsk*.)

And just when you think you've got ALL their sweetness figured out....

they throw you a curve ball.

  2. Hmmm, I'm not sure if I should be offended that you used my boys as the "bad" example. :-P

But super cute pictures! And great story line!
